Bairnecessities was set up in February 2017 to help alleviate child poverty in Aberdeenshire.

We collect pre-loved baby clothes, toiletries, equipment, cots, prams and toys, and pass them onto families in need. Working alongside health visitors, children’s centres and other local professionals who refer vulnerable families to us, our service is provided free of charge. All donations we collect go directly to the families we support.

We work in partnership with Baby Bank Network in Bristol, England and operate a very similar model.
